With only her youngest child still at home, a long-time client downsized and purchased this Athens, Georgia home midway through its construction. A large extended family who visits frequently for University of Georgia football weekends meant that a comfortable, inviting space — one that felt like a true home-away-from-home for her guests — was a must. An avid entertainer, this joyful client who adores gathering friends and family enlisted Ramsay Nye to design a stylish, welcoming environment that reflected her unique aesthetic. Special pieces were incorporated from her childhood home on a working tomato farm in South Georgia, while embracing color, texture, and bold patterns. The result is an eclectic yet traditional retreat that honors her Southern roots and diverse interests.
